I graduated magna cum laude from Boston University in 2006 with a degree in Magazine Journalism.
Prior to matriculating, I was the recipient of the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange scholarship to Germany, and spent my junior year of high school living with a German family and attending a local high school.
While at BU, I minored in German, was the entertainment section editor for The Daily Free Press (The Muse section), and worked part-time at The Boston Herald.
I was a Regional Placement Manager at EF Foundation for Foreign Study for two years, where I managed 70+ field volunteers in finding homes for high school foreign exchange students.
Since 2010, I have been a marketing specialist with International Media Distribution, a division of NBCUniversal International, where I execute all marketing for our suite of over 40 international, in-language premium channels. In March 2017, I became a Marketing Project Manager with IMD.
I am a passionate and dedicated volunteer with WriteGirl, a Los Angeles-based non-profit that pairs professional women writers with under-served teenage girls for mentorship. As a part of the Education Support team, I assist girls with their college admissions journey.
I was the driving force behind Leviosa, a Harry Potter and Young Adult Literature conference that took place in Las Vegas from July 7-10, 2016. Among other things, I managed programming, guests, branding, marketing, print collateral.
I have been a volunteer staff member with the Young Adult Literature Track of DragonCon, the largest science fiction & fantasy convention in the Southeast, since 2013.
